Main Lottery

Eligibility:

Purchasers must not include the name of anyone under the age of 18 on the ticket due to the requirements of the Public Trustee Act. 

Tickets may only be purchased or sold in Alberta.

Contest guidelines prohibit the following people from purchasing tickets in the lottery: Executive members of the Covenant Foundation’s Board of Trustees & Governors; employees of the Covenant Foundation, staff of Stride Management Corp, staff of Calder Bateman Communications Ltd.; and their immediate family members.

The Split 50 is a separate lottery Ticket Purchasers are not required to purchase a ticket in the Split 50 Lottery to be eligible to purchase tickets in the Caritas DreamLife Lottery. However; ticket purchasers who only purchase Caritas DreamLife Lottery tickets and not the Split 50 Lottery tickets will only be eligible for the Caritas DreamLife Lottery draw being held on November 10, 2017.

The 12 Days of Caritas is a separate lottery. Ticket Purchasers are not required to purchase a ticket in the 12 Days of Caritas Lottery to be eligible to purchase tickets in the Caritas DreamLife Lottery. However; ticket purchasers who only purchase Caritas DreamLife Lottery tickets and not the 12 Days of Caritas Lottery tickets will only be eligible for the Caritas DreamLife Lottery draw being held on November 10, 2017.

Draw Dates:

The Loyalty Draw will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Calder Bateman Communications Ltd., 10241 – 109 Street, Edmonton, AB, starting at 11:00 AM.  Only tickets received at the Lottery Ticket Sales Centre before midnight on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 will be eligible for this draw.

The Bonus Draw will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Calder Bateman Communications Ltd., 10241 – 109 Street, Edmonton, AB, starting at 11:00 AM.  Only tickets received at the Lottery Ticket Sales Centre before midnight on Thursday, August 31, 2017 will be eligible for this draw.

The Early Bird Draw will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Calder Bateman Communications Ltd., 10241 – 109 Street, Edmonton, AB, starting at 11:00 AM.  Only tickets received at the Lottery Ticket Sales Centre before midnight on Thursday, September 28, 2017 will be eligible for this draw.

The Final Grand Prize Live Draw (the dream home) will take place on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Grand Prize Dream Home Located at 4182 Cameron Heights Point NW, Edmonton, AB on the Global Morning News.

The Final Draw for the remaining prizes will start on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM and will continue until finished on Friday, November 10, 2017. All final draws will be conducted at the Grand Prize Dream Home, 4182 Cameron Heights Point NW, Edmonton, AB.  Only tickets received at the Lottery Ticket Sales Centre before midnight on Thursday, October 19, 2017 will be eligible for this draw.

All of the above mentioned draws are open to any member of the general public wishing to attend.

If any purchased ticket has been entered for any draw, no refund will be issued.

Draw Order:

The first draw will be the Loyalty Draw, next the Bonus Draw, followed by the Early Bird Draw and concluding with all final prizes.  Final prizes will be drawn in the following order; Grand Prize Dream Home, Vehicles, Vacations, Recreational Vehicle and Lifestyle.  After each draw by numbered ticket, the winner will be recorded and the ticket will be placed back in the drum for the next draw.  Each ticket is eligible for all prizes except where it may be late for the Loyalty Draw, the Bonus Draw and the Early Bird Draw.  If all tickets are sold by Thursday, September 28, 2017, on approval of Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission, all prizes will be drawn commencing Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 9:00 AM until finished.  All draws will be held at the Grand Prize Dream Home, 4182 Cameron Heights Point NW, Edmonton, AB.

All winners will be notified in writing by Stride Management Corp. of what they have won and where they can claim their prize.  All names, cities and winning ticket numbers of winners will be published on the lottery website site www.dreamlifelottery.win and on social media.

Prizes:

Prize winners agree to:

  1. accept the Prize as awarded.
  2. release and hold harmless the DreamLife Lottery, Covenant Foundation, Calder Bateman, Stride Management, Marcson Homes, Alfa Romeo of Calgary, Aurora Jet Partners, Koch Ford, Jaguar Land Rover Edmonton, Porsche Centre of Edmonton, Crosstown Chrysler, Martin Motor Sports, Best Buy Canada, United Cycle, Campers Village, The Rimrock Resort Hotel, Vision Travel, Edmonton Airports, their subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, as the case may be (herein collectively the “Releasees”), from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs (including costs on a solicitor and own client (full indemnity) basis), injuries, losses or damages of any kind (including, without limitation, related to personal injury, death, damage to property, infringement of proprietary rights, rights of publicity or privacy or defamation) howsoever arising out of or in connection with: entering the prize; acceptance of and use of the prize; and howsoever otherwise arising out of or related to the prize;
  3. agree not to sue the Releasees for any loss, injury, costs or damages of any form or type, howsoever caused or arising, and whether directly or indirectly incurred from my participation in the Prize;
  4. permit the Releasees to take pictures of the winner and to use their Personal Information and likeness, including said pictures in promotions and marketing materials related to the Prize.

Notwithstanding the rules as set out herein, if any supplier of prizes or services provides any warranties/guarantees with respect to the prizes supplied, those warranties/guarantees are not negated by the winner accepting these rules.

The winner of the Loyalty prize will have their choice between a trip for 2 to Athens, Greece OR a trip for 2 to Honolulu, Hawaii. The winner will bear the cost for all transportation to Edmonton.

The winner of the Bonus prize will have their choice between a trip to Los Angeles, California OR a trip to Napa, California, for up to 6 people on a private jet, and $5,000 cash. The winner will bear the cost for all transportation to Edmonton.

The winner of the Early Bird prize wins a 2017 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, a trip for 2 to Rome, Italy OR a trip for 2 to London, England and $25,000 cash. The winner will bear the cost for all transportation to Edmonton.

Possession date for the Grand Prize Dream Home is anticipated to be within 30 days from the date of the Final Draw.  All furniture, appliances and fixtures displayed in the home will be the furniture, appliances and fixtures awarded and must be accepted where is as is. Legal fees and disbursement costs of the transfer or property to the winner’s name is the responsibility of the winner. Upon transfer of the home, the winner will be responsible for ongoing property taxes and utilities.

Vehicle winners, including Recreational vehicles, will be required to choose one of the two vehicles offered per draw and are responsible for any fees associated with claiming the prize in Edmonton.

Vacation winners will be required to choose one of the vacations offered per draw. Blackout days may apply on the vacation packages and are subject to availability at time of booking.  All travel prizes are valid for one year from draw date. All vacations are for two people.  Where air transportation is provided, Edmonton will be the point of origin. The winner will bear the cost for all transportation to Edmonton.

The Lifestyle package winner will be required to choose either the Outdoor Recreation package OR the Indoor Technology package offered. The winner will be responsible for any fees associated with claiming the prize in Edmonton.  If the Outdoor Package is chosen the winner is responsible for transportation to and from The Rimrock Resort Hotel.  Prizes supplied by Best Buy Canada, will be shipped to the winner at no cost to the winner.

There are 16 prizes in total.  Approximate total retail value of all prizes is $2,615,862.48. Prizes must be accepted as awarded. There will be no cash substitutes. The Lottery reserves the right to substitute any prize with a prize of equal or greater value if the published prize is no longer available upon the approval of Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission. 

All prizes must be claimed by November 10, 2018.  If any prize(s) remains unclaimed for more than 1 year from the date of the draw, a request will be made to Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission for a decision regarding the disbursement of the prizes.

Tickets:

In the event that a ticket lists more than one name, the Licensee will award the prize to the individual whose name appears first on the stub. The Licensee and the Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission are not responsible for resolving any disputes that may arise between the different individuals.

All sets of multiple tickets must contain the same information.

All tickets will be controlled by Stride Management Corp. and are only available online, by phone, mail, the Grand Prize Dream Home and participating hospital kiosks.

Tickets may be purchased with VISA, MasterCard, American Express, bank debit card, cash, cheque, and money order. The Lottery’s liability is limited to the purchase price of the ticket.

Total number of tickets available will be 23,461 single tickets at $100 each, 4,920 sets of 3 for $250, 1,219 sets of 6 for $375 and 1,898 sets of 12 for $525 for a total of 68,311 tickets.

Split 50

Eligibility:

Split 50 tickets available are; 6,600 single tickets at $10 each, 13,260 sets of 5 for $25 and 12,050 sets of 25 for $50 for a total of 374,150 tickets.  There will be a minimum guaranteed payout of $200,000 for the Split 50 or 50% of ticket sales (whichever is greater).

12 Days of Caritas

Purchasers are not required to purchase a ticket in the Caritas DreamLife Lottery or the Split 50 Lottery to be eligible to purchase tickets in the 12 Days of Caritas Lottery. However ticket purchasers who only purchase 12 Days of Caritas Lottery tickets and not the Caritas DreamLife Lottery tickets or the Split 50 Lottery tickets will only be eligible for the 12 Days of Caritas draw being held on Friday, November 10, 2017.

The 12 Days of Caritas draw will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017, at the Grand Prize Show Home, 4182 Cameron Heights Point NW, Edmonton, AB, starting at 10:30 AM. Twelve (12) draws for $20,000.00 will be conducted.  After each draw by numbered ticket stub, the winner will be recorded and the ticket stub placed back in the drum for the next draw.  Each ticket is eligible for all prizes. Only tickets purchased before the 12 Days of Caritas cutoff of midnight, Thursday, October 19, 2017, will be eligible for this draw.

If all tickets are sold by Thursday, September 28, 2017, on approval of Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission, all prizes will be drawn commencing Thursday, October 19, 2017, at 10:00 AM until finished.  All draws will be held at the Grand Prize Show Home, 4182 Cameron Heights Point NW, Edmonton, AB.

Winners will be announced daily from December 13, 2017 through until December 24, 2017.
